While I was there, Steven, my nephew asked me to give my testimony to the youth group at his church. Liberty Baptist Church was where Kip and I worshipped prior to moving to Florida in 1998. Steven and his wife Ginna head up their youth department and I was thrilled for the opportunity to share with them. I began to pray about what the Lord would have me to share with these students. Students have their entire life ahead of them. They have so much to look forward to. And I knew if they were anything like me, they had big plans for the next steps in their lives.

As I looked back over my life, and how God has worked, I kept going back to the fact that my plans were not always the same as God’s for my life. God’s plans are always the best plans. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” When I was a student, I had big plans for my life. I was going to attend the University of Georgia, graduate and have a successful career. Then after my career took off, I would consider marriage and kids. That was my plan, but God had other plans for me. I met Kip the year prior to graduating High School and fell in love. I did graduate from the University of Georgia, but I didn’t run after my career. I actually got married the month after I graduated from UGA and went to work for Hart Telephone Company making $6.00 an hour. So much for my dream of a high paying power job! But God had the best plan for my life.

God “interrupted” my plans at two other milestones in my life. We never dreamed that the Lord would have us to leave our family and move to Florida. It is not what we really desired, but we felt it was where God was leading us. However, in that move, I did get my high-powered job! I went to work for Siemens in Lake Mary, traveling a ton. But I loved it. Only a year later, I became pregnant with Seth. I began praying about less travel with two little ones at home. God provided His solution for me. The best solution, even though at the time, I wasn’t sure. Kip’s Aunt and Uncle offered me a position with their company. I had never envisioned working for family, but God provided the best plan once again. He provided a job that was flexible. I was able to be at home in the afternoon when my children were at home. They have my value system, my example of faith. I was able to be there for them to teach them about the Lord and how to love Him. God’s plans are always the best plans.

So, yes! Planning is important, for where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18) However, we must leave room for God to change our plans. His plans are always the very best plans.

In March of this year our trailer was stolen with our equipment and merchandise inside. Taken to Mississippi and torched no doubt! But that is not where the story ends! God has richly blessed us through the goodness of His people, bookings with churches, and the desire to serve Him. Because of you and your support and God’s faithfulness, this picture taken today shows the last of the items to be replaced from the trailer that was stolen.

We are closing our GoFundMe early, as we were able to get everything we needed from your generous donations and the donations of equipment from churches and bands. You can read all the updates here…

Thank you to our family, friends, and fans for your support and love. We couldn’t serve as effectively without your encouragement! What the devil meant for evil, God uses for good.

There is nothing like having your children back “in the nest” for a few weeks. Just having him “accessible” is a relief for this mama. You know the old saying, “I just need to put my eyes on him”? That’s what I mean by accessible. My friends that have girls talk about facetime and how great that has been with their daughters. I’m here to tell you, boys don’t get into facetime…or mine don’t anyway. A phone call is enough for them. And by “putting my eyes on him” I also mean putting my arms around him!

This year has truly flown by. It was just last August when Kip and I were wondering how this new phase of life was going to be. We weren’t necessarily afraid of being “alone” together. It was more that we were anticipating missing our boys terribly. But we were pleased to find that we have really enjoyed our time together.

Another plus of having your adult children home for the summer is that you get to see their friends. I didn’t realize how much I miss them as well. We took a group over to Top Golf yesterday afternoon. It is extremely fulfilling to hear of their first year of college, the best and the worst, and remember all the laughs.

We even made some laughs of our own! What trip isn’t complete without car trouble and a car full of young men that know how to make even the most frustrating experiences fun. A great time was had by all. It is as though no time has passed since they last saw one another. I love these kids…

As I travel back to my hometown to spend Thanksgiving with my family, I take in the sights of home from the window of my car. The cotton fields are a comfort to see, the tops of the plants dusted with white. The trees are gold, orange, brown, and green. God’s landscaping is always so beautiful. The fields are full of hay-bails ready to be stored for the year. These are the scenes of my childhood. I begin to hum the old hymn “Count your Blessings”, and I begin to “name them one by one”.

God blessed me with the honor of being chosen to join Kathleen and April with Nevaeh. That was a blessing that I wasn’t looking for, but definitely God ordained. I was busy praying that God help me and Kip as we enter the “empty nest” season of our lives and God was orchestrating something that wasn’t in my wildest dreams. What a blessing to share the love of Jesus to the world with these precious new friends.

It wasn’t long after I joined Nevaeh that Kathleen presented the idea of recording a new CD. I had never done any recording before. Standing in the recording studio, headset on and microphone in my face, was intimidating and humbling. I remember thinking, “This is do or die now girl. Don’t choke.” Then my very next thought was, “Lord, you have blessed me with this opportunity for your glory. Sing through me.”

During our time of recording, we got the news that we had been nominated for 2018 Group of the Year with the Artist Music Guild. What an honor to be nominated for such a prestigious award. Kathleen put together a short video of our worship and outreach opportunities that we had participated in since I had joined the group and sent it off to the Music Guild. We continued to work on our CD project. In God’s perfect timing, He presented the songs to us that we recorded. It was nothing short of miraculous to see His hand open and close doors in this project. We are even shooting a worship video to “Come Alive”. My goodness, what is God up to?

And then we were off to North Carolina for the AMG Awards! I mean we walked the red carpet, we were interviewed, and we were in the room with amazing talent from all genres of music. It was a blessing just to be in attendance. We were asked to present 3 of the awards that night. The awards are recorded for a live showing, and we had to read a script from a “slow” teleprompter that we had not previewed! That was a little unnerving! Another first, but I did it!

When it came time for the award for the 2018 Group of the Year to be presented, I held my breath. I was preparing myself for someone else’s name to be called. After all, we had only sang together in public since January. And then they called our name, Nevaeh! I was overwhelmed with the blessings that God was bestowing upon us. I pray that He uses us mightily for His kingdom! I feel so unworthy, but God is able!

Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/54375612018-09-21T00:23:17-04:002021-05-17T22:19:16-04:00Recording Keeps You Humble
Being in the recording studio sounds glamorous, and it IS fun. But something unexpected happens every time I am in the studio... I am humbled. Like everyone, I sound awesome in the shower! ;-) But in the recording studio, sitting in the quiet, with all focus on the one thing being heard - the playback of my voice - isolated, every miss-pronunciation and every incorrect note heard LOUD through the surround sound speakers. In that moment, I can’t hide behind the music or the other singers parts. Humbled by my blatant imperfections, I am only left with the choice to face my humanity. But, thankful for God’s grace and that HE is a perfect example for me to strive toward.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.

James 1:17 Every desirable and every beneficial gift comes out of heaven

We had our schedule and I absolutely loved that. Kip and I both like to know what we need to be doing, when we are expected to be doing it. I am a little more “flexible” with my schedule, but for Kip, the schedule is the gospel.

We headed out to Rome, GA with a Denali and Seth’s Altima completely packed. There was not room for one more item. I do not remember having all this stuff when I went to UGA. I remember the trunk of my Pontiac Grand Am being pretty full, but that was it.

I had been wondering how this day was going to go. I remember taking my sister, Beth, to college and myself, mama, and daddy cried most of the way home. I expected the same with leaving Seth 9 hours away. I was preparing myself for this inevitability.

Our schedule, sent by Berry College, was to move in from 8:00am till noon, parent meeting with Winshape at 2:00, parent-student celebration on the lawn with an address by the President at 3:30, then we could take Seth off campus for dinner and our last goodbyes before his mandatory dorm meeting at 8:30pm. I had memorized this schedule. This was my last day with Seth for 3 months, so I was counting on spending every minute with my baby boy.

God had another plan. Isn’t that just like God! He has the best plan for our lives. We just have to be obedient.

Well, after the 3:30 celebration with the President, we loaded back up in the car to head back to the mountain campus, where Seth’s dorm is located. It was 4:30. We needed to complete his “move in” and head out to dinner, where I was going to try and pour into him whatever I thought needed to be emphasized from my previous 19 years of pouring into him.

On the 5 min ride to Friendship Hall, Seth received a text from a fellow freshman on the Berry Golf Team that read like this, “Hey Seth, Coach said we could go to Coosa Country Club and get in a round of golf from 5:00 - 8:00 before we had to be back to our meeting at 8:30. You in?”

Well, of course I said, “Well, I guess you’ll just have to tell him it doesn’t suit tonight. This is our last family meal with you. Tell him tomorrow is better.”

I got the death stare from Seth. I looked at Kip, he was looking at me with a pleading, but sympathetic look. I looked back at Seth and asked what he really wanted to do. Of course he said, “I really want to go mom.” So I said, “Absolutely son, you should go.”

We reached his dorm, he changed his clothes, grabbed his golf bag, hugged us bye, and was off to his next 4 years of college adventure!

God orchestrated that like only He could! I didn’t have time to get upset. We left Seth doing exactly what he loves to do...his passion. No leaving my son in a dorm room, sitting on the edge of his bed, wondering what now. Seth was ready! And God made sure that we all knew that Seth was ready and in capable hands. The hands of the Father!

We are trying to enjoy our three day weekends (summer courtesy of the school I work for - Thank you FBCA! :-) and get some fun in while the kids are on break.

Last weekend we went to De Leon Springs with my niece Teri-Lynn and the Kendra family. We enjoyed the cold water and their pancake restaurant where you make it at your own table. (Japanese Hibachi restaurants like their chefs to cook the food for you but here you can pretend to be the chef at your own hibachi grill! lol)

Another day, we visited Ormond Beach, Fl to have lunch at Chicken Salad Chick, play at the park, and surprise Daddy at work. It was a hot 90+ degrees but we had fun! I especially enjoyed getting to chat and catch up with our friend Linda Wolfson while the kids played at the park. Surprising Daddy and catching up with friends is just something we don't get a chance to do often so that makes it that much more special and I cherish these times.

We enjoyed a special time with Kaleb, our 12 year old, seeing some sights, trying some recommended restaurants, and getting to see the musical - HAMILTON! (Our daughter Ella, 8, got her own special time with family while we were away.) The Fox theatre was like nothing I have been in before... a recently restored, opulent theater built in the 1920's with a starry sky ceiling and castle like atmosphere.

Definitely a trip we will remember - and I can’t wait to see Hamilton again.

We were blessed to take a cruise and have so much family time and fun along the way.

The drive to board the boat was filled with excitement. Our first days were filled with food, fun around the boat, naps and relaxation.

At the first port we had a beach day in Labadee, Haiti.

At the second port, Ella enjoyed a morning at the pool and made a friend, Samantha, from Seattle while mommy got to read more of ‘The Story’ – the Bible in chronological order; and Dad and Kaleb enjoyed some activities around the boat. Then we enjoyed a short time off the boat, as a family, exploring the port in Jamaica. Ella bought a dress and Kaleb bought a bright yellow, emoji face, soccer ball.

We did our first ever excursion during a cruise when we were at our third port in Cozumel, Mexico: Taking the kids to Mayan ruins, a lighthouse, and then snorkeling – all while Daniel got to drive us from place to place in a Jeep!

Kaleb’s favorite: Snorkeling and the late night movie’s on deck.

Daddy’s favorite: Driving a jeep through Mexico.

Ella’s favorite: The pool and the beaches.

Mom’s favorite: Seeing the happiness on my family’s faces and the days of true rest (R&R).

Each night we made sure to go to the main dining room. Why? Why not continue enjoying the pool and eat at the casual restaurant real quick to allow more pool time? This was an intentional choice for family time. Once we ordered and were awaiting dinner – we helped Kaleb with his 4-H speech, we talked, played 20 questions, and we spent many of the nights playing cards like I Doubt It, Go Fish, and more. We laughed and we had great family time.

May I encourage you to learn a few games that are easy to play at the dinner table. The laughs and the bonding time that you will experience will be well worth it. (While in one port I googled easy card games for kids and looked for ones that only included 1 discard pile and not a bunch of cards to be on the table; rather in players hands. For example: Kings Corners is a great game my grandmother taught us but does not work at a dinner table – you really need an empty table to play on.)

The joy that came to my heart as I saw us all laugh and have a great time – honestly, I can’t find words to express it – the joy and happiness the memory of those times still brings me – my heart is full.

I pray that each of us finds ways to bring a more intimate family time to experience with those in our home or when our families come to visit and even just during time alone with our spouse.

God Bless
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/51398702018-03-21T12:24:24-04:002018-03-21T12:26:07-04:00"Stoked"
Last week I spent my Spring Break at First Baptist Daytona Beach’s youth camp called “Breakout”. This is my 11th year being a counselor at Breakout, and it was my son Seth’s last year at camp. He is a senior and will be going to Berry College in Rome, GA in the fall. So, it was with mixed emotions that I departed on Sunday to Camp Anderson in Old Town, Florida.

Camp Anderson is a beautiful camp on the Suwanee River ran by a Godly crew that love the Lord and have a passion for winning kids for Jesus. We had 160 students attending camp with us this year. In years past it has been our church students and their friends that they invite to attend. It is a week filled with worship through music and the Word, mixed with a lot of outdoor fun. It is a week where students dig deep in the word and grow in their faith if they already know the Lord, or experience God for the first time if they do not. Breakout has the reputation of being a life-changing experience for all those who attend; both student and adult alike.

This year was no exception. Lives were changed at Camp Anderson for the Glory of God. However, this year was different than previous years. This year we took 50 teenaged children from foster homes and group homes in the greater Daytona, Deland, and Palm Coast areas with us to camp. The stories of these kids were heartbreaking. I sat with tears in my eyes most days, thinking how fortunate my family and I are and praying that God would give me the word I needed to speak over these children when I was called upon. I learned that even though I felt ill-equipped at times to speak to some of the circumstances of life that these kids found themselves in, all I needed to do was to show the Love of Jesus to these kids. They came to camp hard; beaten down by life. By the end of the week, they had softened and were responding to the Gospel of Jesus that is capable of tearing down walls. I witnessed our First Baptist Students showing the love of Christ to these students. They weren’t all talk, they were showing them that they loved them and that God loves them unconditionally. We had our own mission field in our backyard, and our kids stepped up to the plate. They grew their faith by boldly loving others more than themselves.

I went to camp to share the love of Christ to our students, and in return witnessed the hands and feet of Christ in action through our Youth. Our motto was “Stoked”. And our verse was, “But if I say, I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name, his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” (Jeremiah 20:9). We exemplified this verse this week. It was a very humbling and blessed experience that I, nor Seth will ever forget. We are stoked!
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/51045082018-02-28T20:07:46-05:002018-02-28T20:07:47-05:00To the Women of Guilt
Just a few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of leading worship for a wonderful group at a ladies’ tea. There I mentioned that I suffer from mom guilt. You know – the guilt for not always having the house clean, the laundry done, for not always getting off work on time, for not always having energy left for my kids and their stories, about how they won a battle on Xbox or Minecraft or to hear about the funny YouTube video they saw.

Growing up, I had my mind set that when I became a wife and mom, I was going to be just like June Cleaver – the house was always clean, she was always attentive to her husband and children, they wanted for nothing because she did everything for them (and they adored her for it) and dinner was on when everyone got home (and it looked amazing – like a professional chef had prepared it)!

Can I just be honest and tell you that I am not built that way. I was a tom boy growing up. When I got married in September of 2000, I was HAPPY to wear the wedding dress with heels and makeup, but I gave my mom these rules when decorating: no frills, no tulle, no poofs (like the sleeves of the 80’s), and not TOO many flowers. I wanted simple elegance: white roses and baby’s breath with ribbon, my bride’s maids carried candles in a glass that had been adorned with a few flowers and ribbon, there were plants and flowers for SOME greenery, and that was just the way I liked it.

Some of my cooking experiments might horrify you, too! At a young age (before marriage) I made cookies and the recipe called for 1 cup of brown sugar – I used a full cup of cinnamon… they were brick cookies! Later on… As a newlywed trying to hurry and do everything quickly (after working a full day), I forgot to put the tuna in the tuna casserole, so it was just noodle casserole ?. At work, I am detail oriented but at home – not so much. Really, I just never took interest in learning to cook – I just thought it would come naturally when I got married or once the hospital released us to take our newborn home LOL. Thankfully my Father God watches out for me and He blessed me with a husband that can pull anything out of the fridge and pantry and make it taste fantastic!

At this point, you might be saying that I should have just realized and accepted that I was not going to be June Cleaver. But how do you change the perception of what you wanted yourself to become after spending your entire childhood picturing yourself that way? Even in 2018, there is still pressure on women to be SUPER MOM: laundry always kept up, clean house that’s always ready for company, comfortable mini-van so you can be the taxi-mom taking turns in the carpool, showing up to get the kids with a healthy snack for the drive to the next location(s) - taking one child from school to soccer on Monday, Karate on Thursday and the other to piano on Monday, softball on Tuesday so they are well rounded, helping with homework and projects after school and practices, the snack mom for Saturday games because you also never miss one, and all this while still managing to get a healthy well-balanced dinner on the table as soon as you get home each and every day.

Ladies, Married Mom’s, Single Mom’s, Single Dad’s, Married Women who still have this problem even if you never had kids or you are an empty nester trying to adjust: Hear this! You are not superwoman/superman and can not be all things to all people. We have to prioritize or we will burn out. Some days (well, most weekdays in my house) the laundry and the clean house will wait. My kids are learning how to do their own laundry because sometimes mom needs help, and a little bit of responsibility and chores is GOOD for kids. Plus, I want them to know how to do things when they move out. My kitchen floor gets ‘mopped’ by a Clorox wipe underneath my foot as I put dishes away or by Ella ‘ice skating’ around more times than it has seen a ‘traditional’ mop. My kids have had the privilege of eating out more often than I care to admit because Dad is working late or too tired to cook and they can only eat mom’s spaghetti so often lol. Are kids happy because they have a clean house with mopped floors or are they happy because we take the time to sit with them at the table and ask about their day, their grades, their latest favorite subject, what vacation they want to take next, etc.?

May I challenge each of us to look at our day, our week, our month and ask ourselves, ‘What is the most important thing that we need to do’? What do we need to drop to make sure the most important things are getting done?

May I challenge us to remember that our kids and spouse will be happier knowing we are available to them vs cramming our day so full that we only have nuggets of minutes between events for them.

May I challenge us to find balance in our life because a burned-out mom/dad/wife/husband is 1) not the example of how we want our kids to live their life when they have kids and we have to lead by example and 2) not able to be present for the people who need us most. I once heard it said that today is your PRESENT from God. If we look at each day with those glasses on, that today is your gift from God, what would we do different to make sure that you do not just zoom through it but that you appreciate/value the gift from God?

May we go forward being present in each day, prioritizing, and becoming an even better version of ourselves by being less stressed.

God Bless!
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/50866192018-02-18T20:48:14-05:002020-09-23T20:03:13-04:00A Spirit on Fire
My spirit is on FIRE today!

Unfortunately, it’s not on fire for the best reasons. It’s on fire because things are not going my way and I became frustrated… and mad. Not at any one thing or at any person, just at circumstances, just at life.

Do you remember a time that you had a fire in your belly, in your heart, or in your spirit – and you became so focused on the things that caused that fire and why you became so annoyed to begin with?

Do you wish, like I do, that we had that same fire for sharing the gospel? As Christians we may think about sharing the love of God often, but are we on FIRE to share His word?

We've done a few seminars, met some new friends and fellow artists, met some world-wide famous artists, and had some great food and great music. Tomorrow we look forward to being presenters with Aaron Coker Band at the awards show announcing 3 awards, and also hearing our names announced as 2 nominees for Best Group and Best New Song. Although we may not win this year, (and will feel honored if we do) this has been just a wonderful time here in NC already.

Thank you Lord for this time as we reflect back over yesterday and today. Thank you for safe travel, fellowship, friendship, and fun. And most of all, thank You for Your love, and deeming us - even in our unworthiness - worthy in You to be saved.

Night to everyone. We have a big day tomorrow. Gotta run through our script and get some rest. :-)

As you may remember, last year we won Best Album, and this year we're nominated for Best Group and Best New Song for "To Honor You" written by Kevin McIver. So we're packing our bags this week, and making sure we're packing for warm weather too, getting the vehicles ready, and we're heading north. North Carolina that is. We're doubly excited because this year we've been asked to be presenters. How cool is that? So, stay tuned, and we'll let you know what happens.

Check out this promo clip for the Awards Show.

Change is sometimes hard and oftentimes bittersweet. With sadness, we announce that Allison Walker will be retiring from Nevaeh at the end of the year; but we are also excited to welcome Melissa Jolly, who will fill the position in January.

Allison has been a familiar presence with Nevaeh from the beginning and has made numerous contributions to the success of the group, including her warm vocals on the award-winning album, Love Enough.

Allison writes, “With much love to Kathleen and April for their many years of love, support and friendship. I will miss and be sad at the thoughts of not being with them to continue spreading the gospel and pointing people to heaven. My prayer is that God will bless them abundantly! I will always be a supporter and prayer warrior for them and their ministry. I am excited, however, as I begin a new chapter in my life, to be more available to help with the start of a new satellite church planting in my local area. God has placed this on my heart and my husband and I look forward to serving in whatever capacity is in His will. In all that we do, may God get all the glory and praise!”

Allison will certainly be missed, and we wish her all of God’s blessings in her new endeavors. Make sure to give your love and hugs to her in her remaining concerts with us.

With anticipation and joy, after a five-month search through interviews and auditions, we are very excited to have Melissa Jolly as a new addition to our ministry. Melissa comes to the group with many years of experience performing with other ensembles and ladies’ groups, as a former adult and youth choir director, and as a soloist. She and her husband, Kip, have two sons, and currently reside in Daytona Beach, FL. You may also know Melissa as the Controller in the popular family-run business, Ben’s Paint Supply, or from her many years involved in the worship ministry at First Baptist Church, Daytona Beach.

Stop by and say hello to Melissa as you see her in our upcoming concerts beginning in January.

We are excited to see what the Lord has planned for Nevaeh and for our new CD project in the new year. He has already blessed us tremendously by allowing us to receive two new nominations for this year's Artists Music Guild Awards, for Group of the Year and Best New Song for the original song “To Honor You.:

We have loved every minute. From experiencing their 1st plane ride to visiting Central Park, the Museum where Night at the Museum was filmed, Ice Skating, and enjoying the splendor of the city - this has been a vast contrast to what we are used to at home in Florida.

As we have experienced these firsts and as we approach the new year, it has caused me to think about... What I want the new year to bring and how blessed we are! I know that I also speak for Kathleen and Allison when I say...

We are beyond grateful to our fans for your love, prayers, and support throughout this last year. We pray that God blesses each of you beyond your imaginations, hopes, and dreams in 2017.

We saw God move in mighty ways in our ministry this year and surprise us with 3 award nominations through the Artist Music Guild where we took home Best Album for Love Enough. What an honor to be recognized by other artist for our work! But much more importantly - we were able to point it all back to the God who lined everything up for that CD to come to fruition. And each time we go out, we are able to tell people about His amazing love that is enough to cover every sin, no matter how big or small. God's love is always enough.

We pray that this award helps to open even more doors for His ministry, that He allows us to be a part of. We know that God is moving. And we thank you for your continued prayers over us

Yearly Highlights In Review:

JANUARY 2016

Allison's middle daughter, Sarah, got married to her sweetheart., Zach. It was a beautiful winter wedding.

FEBRUARY 2016

A huge blessing came our way in February. Actually, it all started in December 2015. We were blessed with a new mixer from someone who donated the money for a mixer. And on top of that, we invested in some much needed equipment to boost our sound. We were so excited, but then realized we had no way to move all of this new equipment. We temporarily forgot that God already had a plan and knew in advance what we needed. In January, we started an online fundraiser to get a new trailer, tags, licenses, etc... One of the pastors from our local church knew someone who had a trailer that he might want to sell, and asked him about it on our behalf. That person said they would talk it over with his wife, pray about it, and let us know. A few days later we found out -- HE WAS GIVING US THE TRAILER! What a huge blessing to our ministry to help us travel more.

NOVEMBER 2016

This is the part of the newsletter we couldn't wait to get to. November 2016 will be forever etched in our minds. The Love Enough CD project had 4 singles released to radio through two radio promoters from 2015 - 2016. Forever Reign, released in February, made it to the #1 spot the week of February 26, and as of right now, is in the top 15 for the year at radiomusicfm. We'll post the official year-end reports on our Facebook page after they do. Also, To Honor You was released August 29, and made it to #5 it's first week. With all of that, the Love Enough project has been a joy and a worship experience for us. We had a great producer, Matt McKeown from Sound Mind Studios, and great songwriters.

So.... earlier this year we were nominated for 3 Artists Music Guild Awards - Best Song, Best New Artist, and Best Album. This was in itself a huge honor and blessing that the Lord allowed us to have. During Veteran's Day weekend, all of us made the trek to Monroe, NC for the annual awards celebration and convention that they have. Red carpet, new friends met, great music from some famous icons like Evelyn Champagne King, Freda Payne, and Clifton Davis, made it a great night. But to top the whole night off, it was our name they called for Best Album of the Year. We were floored, and literally some of us (eh hm.. Kathleen) was speechless.

We were also privileged to sing Power in the Blood during the after-show party.

We want to wish you all a Happy New Year, and may the Lord guide and direct your every step. Please keep us in your prayers as we will remember you.

Who me?
If you have been in church for anytime you have heard the music minister talk about God being worthy of our praise. But did you hear when the pastor said that you are worthy of forgiveness? Maybe this is just a ‘woman thing’ but why is it hard to forgive ourselves? And why is hard for anyone to forgive those that we love who hurt us? It is easier to forgive a stranger than to forgive our spouse, parent, family member, or friend for hurting us. You know who doesn’t have any trouble with forgiveness? God. But people have trouble accepting that they ARE worthy of God’s forgiveness.

The bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Not just Sam, Chloe, and Josh; Everyone has sinned and everyone has fallen short. In Psalm 103:12 it says “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (NIV). God already forgave you the moment that you confessed your sin and turned back to Him. The problem is that you haven’t accepted it. John 3:16 didn’t say for God so loved only the small sinners in the world; Romans 6:23 didn’t say for the wages of only BIG sin is death. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, it doesn’t matter how big or small the sin was by the world’s standards. All have sinned and fallen short. And YOU are worthy of God’s forgiveness. Why? Because God created you. He loves you. He knows the number of hairs on your head – not because He was bored and decided to count them but because He loves you as only a Father can love their child and He cares about you. He knows everything about you - He created you in His image. Are we perfect? No. Only Jesus was perfect. But God loves us and He forgives us. So won’t you accept His forgiveness today?

4:33Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/44217432016-10-16T18:05:52-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00What Is Your Christian Testimony?
As I finished listened to the speaker at this weekend’s ladies retreat give her testimony I began to think ‘what is a testimony?’, ‘why are people uncomfortable sharing their testimony?'

I’ve been in church since I was in middle school and I always thought that a testimony is only the story about how our life led us to the point of asking God to come into our heart and save us from our sins. But, is that my only testimony? What about all the times God has continued to forgive me, show me mercy, grace, take me through life’s journey – the ups and the downs? All of those times after being saved are part of my testimony too.

Many Christians, whether they were saved 50 years ago or 5 years ago get nervous at the thought of sharing their testimony. I can remember times early on that I actually was afraid of sharing my testimony. Maybe it’s worry that I will forget an important part or fear that my story is not as spiritual as someone else’s. For some, it’s simply the fear of speaking. I want to change the way I view what a testimony is. I want to take the fear out of it for those that may feel like I did.

It’s not about the beginning or the middle of the story. It’s about what God’s done in your life; How He shows His abundant love and grace. My life is SO different from what it was when I was saved – I was a kid with kid problems but that testimony doesn’t relate to someone that is struggling with their kids, their relationship, their work/life balance, their finances. I didn’t have any of those problems before/when I was saved. But I’ve certainly been through them as I’ve gotten older.

A testimony is a living, breathing thing. If you are living a life with Christ then you don’t have just one story – God has blessed you with many stories so that you can help others that may be going through similar things. The testimony is how God came into your heart, set you free from your sins, and continues to show you love, grace, mercy, and patience. Be open and willing to share what God has done in your life with those that He puts in your path so that you might be able to help someone….All for His glory!

4:33Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/44060212016-10-05T20:55:49-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00In the eye of the storm
Praying for all those in the path of Hurricane Matthew including all those in our home base of Palm Coast and Elkton, Florida.

On our way home tonight this song came on the radio. As I sang this with my 10 and 6 year old, I HEARD the words and wow! what a Godly timed reminder. May it bless your soul and bring you peace over the coming days as we weather this storm. Be it a physical storm, emotional, spiritual, or the storms of life that come our way - Our God has us in the palm of His hand and we can be at peace knowing that God's will be done.

We had a wonderful concert, a great time of fellowship, and an awesome time praising the Lord!

Have you heard the term 'the devil's in the details'? Well, the devil was at work from first thing this morning all the way through the sound check (before our 6pm concert). He tried to take our joy through different circumstances, he tried to prevent the lyrics for the sign language interpreters from getting over, he tried to prevent our sound from working right by messing with a component and a cable. When he still didn't get his way and we got past everything else, he simply tried to make the sound mix bad. (Two weeks ago we had a professional come and set our new board up while we rehearsed for 2 hours - and it sounded great.) But we gathered together in a room for prayer time and declared that the devil may try, but God will win!

And win, He did - It was a great evening! We praised God with fellow believers. We laughed, we cried. Kathleen ran into a fellow Florida Worship Choir participant. And we made many new friends. Thank You Lord for using us to further Your kingdom and spread Your Good News. Every time we go out, it is our prayer that we step aside and let God shine. All praise! All honor! All glory! To God!

3:02Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/42121982016-06-03T23:16:08-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00Maybe I Don't.... But God's Got This
Why is it so hard to learn to let go, and let God? Our human nature is to want control. We want to be in charge. But if you have been a christian for any amount of time, you know that when you and I are in control - it never turns out as good as it would have with GOD in control. And many times, we mess it all up.

When life isn't going as we planned - we tend to bend a knee and ask God for guidance and help. We should do the same when the storm clouds are over us, too. Life won't always be mountain tops. I believe God allows us to go through valleys in our life so that we don't forget what the mountain top feels like, so we don't become complacent, but mostly so that he can mold us/shape us/force us to grow in His image.

Being a Floridian my entire life, I always think of the master glass blowers at Disney when I think about God molding us or I think about making pottery (which was a passion of my Aunt Kay's). The glass goes into the fire and is then stretched, put back in the fire, stretched again. This process can go on for hours and even days depending on how intriquet a design the master is making. Sometimes they even need to cut off extra pieces to get the final shape that the glass blower is looking for.

Don't you think our Heavenly Father sometimes has to do the same thing with us? I know that sometimes I form a habit that I need to ask God to help me trim off, maybe it's an attitude, a callas on part of my heart - anything that keeps me from being the person that God wants me to be - Lord, mold us, trim anything away that is keeping us from being who YOU want us to be. Father, help is to let the reigns of control go. Let us remember that You work all things for the good, that's all for Your glory (not ours).

Thank you for being with us on the mountain tops as well as when we are in the valley's of our life. May we always find peace, even in the storm, knowing that You are in control and You've got this! Amen.

April
3:53Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/41741342016-05-10T15:47:30-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00Who's Power Are You Walking In?
When you're living in HIS power instead of YOUR power, then politics, the bank account, and the diagnosis have no power over you.

3:02Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/40528192016-02-21T15:23:09-05:002020-01-21T08:09:44-05:00Is Music Good for the Soul?
Feeling better today. Seriously never realized what a day of rest can do for the body in helping it to heal. Also started to feel like my soul got a good boost too - from singing last night at rehearsal! So it got me thinking again...and this blog came about...

Is there evidence that music is good for the soul? Do you ever feel better because of the music you listen to? Does your day start out bad but then you noticed you were having a better day after jamming out to music for even just 10 minutes? Does this only work for people of an "artistic" brain or can it work for anyone?

*Over the years, many studies have been conducted to examine in greater depth the nature and extent of the effects music has on people.

For example, scientists at the University of Missouri have found that listening to music can improve your mood. Their research lends scientific credibility to the behavior many people have already experienced on their own: listening to upbeat music can brighten your day and boost your mood.

Other studies have shown that upbeat music isn’t the only type of music that can be helpful, however. When people are sad or have suffered a personal loss, sad music can be soothing and helpful, because people identify with the tone and lyrics of the music.

These scientific studies have helped scientists and researchers develop the field of music therapy. According to the American Music Therapy Association, music therapy is “the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals.” Today, music therapy is used to help people improve mood, restore energy, and heal more naturally.

Of course, music also has other mental benefits beyond improving our mood. Music can also help our memory. Don’t believe us? Try to say your ABCs without singing the tune you learned when you first learned to memorize the alphabet. LOL

So keep on listening and we hope that you find the mood you are looking for in OUR music too!

He knows the number of hairs on our head. And yet, sometimes we still view God as being in a box. Many have watched God move mountains in their lives. Watched Him do what they thought was impossible, and it probably was - for anyone BUT GOD. You see, we are here to testify again today, that our God is a mountain mover. He takes the "im" out and makes everything possible! His dreams for all of His children are bigger than we can imagine.

As you may or may not know, God provided us a bigger and better sound system this past December. A week ago, February 1, we started a campaign to raise funds for a trailer to move said system and all the other equipment and supplies for the services, concerts, and festivals that we attend. Today, we’re here to say, that God heard our plea, and provided someone who stepped in and gave us a trailer.

Yes, you read that right.
Maybe you lost a loved one in 2015.
Maybe you received a new baby into your family in 2015.

Maybe 2016 will mean a new job or new school, or returning to school after all these years. Whatever 2016 holds, only God knows. But He wants you to know that you don't have to worry; He doesn't want you to look back; Focus on each day and live in 'The Present' that He gives you each new day.

Isaiah 43:19 MSG
"This is what GOD says, the God who builds a road right through the ocean, who carves a path through pounding waves, The God who summons horses and chariots and armies— they lie down and then can’t get up; they’re snuffed out like so many candles: “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. I love this time of year to be able to go home and see family, although this year I'm feeling melancholy since my mom went home to be with the Lord this past March.

But I love remembering the good times, and for that I'm thankful. I'm thankful for a mother who loved the Lord, who did His work, and took care of her family. I always say that when I grow up I want to be just like her. So I guess I need to get busy. :-) I'm thankful for a family heritage of love; love from my dad and my big brother - who might have fought with me a time or two, but wouldn't let anyone else fight with me. I'm thankful for kids, and beautiful grandkids, my job, and the love of music that I get to share with people that allows me to tell of the love of Jesus.

So, I hope that even if you're missing your loved ones this year, that you can also remember the love of family and friends that you share (shared). Schools out, beaches are calling, CD project is completed, release party behind us, vacations are almost over, and here comes August. We're catching a breather for a week after last night's concert, and getting ready to lead worship next week at PC Bible Church. A couple of weeks after that, we'll be heading to Atlanta for Labor Day weekend as we get ready for Womenincharg3's Indie Artist Awards.

We're so excited to have received the nomination for Best Album/Gospel. Not because of the nomination itself, although that's cool, but that the Word of the Lord may be heard by people we haven't met (yet), and who may not have heard the Gospel (yet). I love how God uses His people to spread the Message of the Cross. Our hearts are so overwhelmed how He uses us, His unworthy girls, for His purpose and His glory. I have to say it again. That's TOO EXCITING TO EXPRESS!!

We hope you get a chance to listen to the new CD. Not just enjoy the upbeat, hand-clapping music, but really listen to the words of the songs. We're called the Sassy Scrappers.

We spend a week in Georgia, in an old house, enjoying time with each other, and our memories. My main goals in doing my scrapbooks this year, was to finish my mission trip to New York last year, and to start and finish a scrapbook on the life of my mother, who passed away in March. I'm so happy to say I finished both!

We also did a little shopping; ok, a lot of shopping, and a lot of eating. You have to enjoy small towns and home-town cooking. This was the week I was ok with gaining the 4 lbs. I'll spend the next month losing it, but that's ok. It was worth it. And I loved the daily devotions the ladies started us with.

So every time I come back, I'm already ready and planning for the next year. I have so many memories and photos to put down for the next generation. I don't want the future generations in my family to forget where they came from, who they belonged to, and what we shared. And I do that by scrapbooking.

Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/37658822015-07-04T23:25:24-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00Let's Have a Party! We are so excited to announce our new project Love Enough. This has been a year-long project that the Lord has blessed us with, and we're finally going to be releasing it.

It's been an awesome year, and so many things happened in our families - Allison's daughter got engaged, another daughter had a new baby girl, April got a new job running the office at the local Christian academy, and Kathleen's daughter graduated college with honors.

And exciting things happened to us as a group - we were fortunate enough to play Disney's Night of Joy back in September, the Florida Strawberry Festival this past March, and in February we returned from our first Gospel Cruise to the Bahamas.

So, back to the present with Love Enough.

This project came together by God's hands. We originally planned to have 7 songs on the CD, but when we went to the studio to work with our producer, he gave us a new song that he wrote -- BRAVE -- which is currently being promoted to Radio ahead of the full CD release.

Well, we thought it would be kind of odd to have 8 songs, and so we went looking for two more songs. So we rounded out the CD with Forever Reign (with a new acoustic version, guitar only), and song #9 "Love Has Come." We say song #9 because we always finish out our concerts with "Power in the Blood" and thought it appropriate to close the CD with the same song.

So there you have it. Love Enough. 10 songs. Songs of love. The love of Jesus, as told in John 3:16. It's enough love for the whole world.

And this is our special invitation to you. On July 10, we're going to be celebrating this project with some family and friends, and hopefully you too. To be brave even when it cost you everything, including your life.

Even in the year 2015, our students are still dealing with bullies. To be brave and stand with the student who is being bullied, to show them they are not alone.

There are so many more scenarios just like this, from the large to the small, that we could give. To do the right thing even if it means you will be in the minority, is noble, is honorable, is courageous, is BRAVE. On my own, I cannot be brave; With Jesus – HE makes me brave. With Jesus, you are in HIS majority.
“We can stand up because You are here
You haven’t given us a spirit of fear
The armies of God are ready to lift up Your name”

Is there anything God is calling you to do today that makes you uncomfortable or puts you in the minority or unpopular group?
“Who can we fear when You are here”

“When I call out to You You answer me
You make me brave
You give me the strength to stand firm in my faith
You make me brave”

God bless, AprilNevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/36403062015-04-03T16:22:59-04:002017-01-13T09:14:54-05:00Easter Brings Hope
If there was ever a day that gives us hope, it is Resurrection Sunday! In fact ...that's why the church gathers week by week on Sunday, the Lord's Day for worship: to celebrate and commemorate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!

In fact, every Sunday is a celebration of the empty tomb! A celebration that Jesus is alive!

It's the empty tomb of Jesus that gives us HOPE! Hope in the here-in-now and hope in the here-after! And don't get the idea that the HOPE I'm talking ...about is a HOPE-SO kind of HOPE. I'm talking about a KNOW-SO kind of HOPE!

The HOPE of forgiveness. The HOPE of peace. The HOPE of assurance. The HOPE of Heaven. And that HOPE is centered in the person of Jesus Christ. It certainly was for King David Psalm 39.7, ''.. My hope is in You.'' Psalm 71.5, ''For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.''

With your HOPE in the resurrected Jesus ... you can make it.

But pretty soon, it will change. For all of us. Change can happen in our hearts even before springtime. We found this on the web, and wanted to share with you:

Spring is a time of new beginnings. Of Hope and of fresh starts. JOY and HAPPINESS. Peace and contentment. Are you in a SPRING of your life or the VALLEY? Do you have HOPE and PEACE in your life? Spring is a good time to really look at your life and decide what you believe and why. Spring is also a good time to give your life over to the Lord and let HIM direct and guide your steps. So use this opportunity to do SPRING CLEANING, not just in your home but in your heart and spirit too. If you are not a Christian and want to know how to become one just follow the A-B-C's.

This is the time of year that we really miss our loved ones that have left us. For me my mother has been gone 14 years, my father 12 years. We lost my father-in-law last year at this time. That is hard to say and think about. I know that in time it's gotten easier to deal with, but in the midst of the thinking back on all of those memories during this time of the year I know that it has forever changed me.

I'm very confident that I am not alone with my feelings but with time I've also learned that my Lord has made me a promise to never leave me or forsake me. We hope you had a chance to stop by and enjoy some great ziti made by April's husband, Daniel, and had the opportunity to be the first to hear some new songs from the upcoming CD.

Donna Leigh Hinkley (www.donnaleighworship.com) opened for us in concert. Donna has such a servant heart, and a love of the Lord. Her smooth vocals are just icing on the cake.

Stay tuned for your opportunity to be a part of the ministry. We'll be taking pre-orders for the new project entitled, "Love Enough." Love Enough, the title track, was written by six-time Dove award-winner Tony Wood. What a blessing it was to be outside in the elements of God’s creation (sun, trees, etc). We worshiped the Lord together in song and let us tell you….they know how to praise them some Jesus!

Their journey in ministry is a testimony of what the Lord can do. Pastor Sly shared a little bit of his background with the congregation – coming from being a hard core biker filling his young life with alcohol and fighting – to filling his heart and life with Jesus, giving every breathe to praising God for what he has done for him. Now having been a Christian for many years, and after God called him to seminary, he is sharing his story and His Savior each month with this congregation. Pastor Sly and his wonderful wife Gypsy have a heart for God’s people and a desire for them to also experience the love they found through Christ Jesus.

They opened their ministry 16 months ago and did their 16th baptism while we were there. We pray God’s continued blessings upon them.
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/28880482014-04-21T21:25:24-04:002017-01-13T09:14:53-05:003 Things God Has Never SeenNevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/28675982014-04-13T19:57:42-04:002017-01-13T09:14:53-05:00New CD SongsThe songs are coming together for our new CD. As Kathleen shared with us there was one comment in the bible study that got me thinking…. I am so thankful that God didn’t give up on me. I picture a lump of clay and, like watching a movie in fast forward, the lump starts to become something recognizable; God’s hands molding the clay (me). But while the clay has taken shape, you can still see that there is more work to be done.
I am so appreciative that God has never decided to walk away, He continues the work on this masterpiece.

God is faithful, and He will complete His good work in you (Phil. 1:6).

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for your faithfulness. Wow, what talent! We have songs that we have been performing and will put on the CD but we also wanted to introduce some new songs. So, Kathleen has sought out some song writers and we’ve been reviewing the songs that they’ve presented to us. It’s amazing how listening to songs in different areas and via different media can give you a different perspective of the song (office on desk computer, in the car, church sanctuary) and it’s a great way to really get to hear the song.

We took last week off while Alison enjoyed vacation with her family and Kathleen participated in the Florida Worship Choir. We arrived Friday night and the conference was all day on Saturday. It included corporate praise and worship, a word from a wonderful speaker and author named Rochelle Frazier, and 3 different sessions of a variety of class offerings geared toward all stages and ages: crafting/organizing, budgeting, finding the real woman inside, Grandma’s only, prayer, and more. It was a great day spending time with our fellow sisters in the Lord!

But our day wasn’t over just yet. We were making the most of our time in South Carolina so we had dinner with a song writer to talk about his songs and the possibility of using some on our next CD. Yes, folks, we are gearing up and getting ready!

God is Good, All the Time and All the Time, God is Good! It’s still winter but I think I’ve had a touch of spring fever!
We had an extra day off after our vacation recently and decided to re-arrange the kids bedrooms. It was like that show “Clean Sweep” taking place in each of the kids bedrooms. We took everything out, rearranged the furniture, and slowly brought things back in making sure to decide whether to keep it, give it away, or throw it out (you know all those toys that are broken and no longer work but your kids just didn’t want to part with them before). It felt good to de-junk and get organized.

Then we attended church this past Sunday and our Pastor was talking to us about this gift from God called 2014. He reminded us that we have the ability to choose how we want to spend each day of 2014. And it made me think…It’s time to de-junk and get organized! It’s time to take personal inventory and decide what we want out of 2014. Many people have already made their resolutions for 2014 but each day from the Lord is a gift and should be spent bringing honor and glory to Him. So….

What are some things that you let creep into your 2013 calendar that shouldn’t reappear in 2014?

Are there things that didn’t make it on your 2013 calendar that you should add to 2014?

What are some things God is calling you to do in 2014?

My memory is somewhat bittersweet… but here goes –
It was Christmas 1993, I was fifteen and we were broke (as usual). My childhood was not what you would call easy. Let me be fair – it wasn't terrible, but it was rough most of the time. It was Christmas and there was barely enough money for rent and electricity – so gifts were out of the question. Not a huge deal except for the fact that I have a sister that was six at the time.

My Mom and Dad in a moment of desperation applied to the Empty Stocking Fund for assistance. (The Empty Stocking Fund is an organization that assists the underprivileged in obtaining gifts for Christmas) By what I can only explain as Divine Intervention, they accepted the application and selected our family as one of the ones they would assist. I remember Mom and Dad proudly sitting me down to explain the lengths that they had gone to, to make sure we (my twin brother, younger brother and younger sister) would have a good Christmas. At the time, I remember being mortified. I was afraid that it would get out. People, more importantly, my friends would know just how poor we really were.

Mom and Dad took our "Letters to Santa" and gave them to the ESF. I remember there being several gifts under the tree Christmas morning. My little sister was thrilled! We had a great Christmas because of the generosity of others. I know I must have gotten several things but the only thing I remember was a Bible. It was green leather with my name engraved on the cover. I still carry it today as a reminder of that Christmas.

I never understood why Mom & Dad felt the need to tell me about applying to the ESF for assistance – why they didn’t just wrap the gifts and let them be from Santa – but in hindsight, I am so glad they did. It was extremely humbling, but it also showed me firsthand, the real meaning of Christmas. It's not about the gifts under the tree, the nip in the air or the tacky decorations – it is truly a state of the heart.

This year, twenty years later, as I look at my two children and consider the reason we celebrate Christmas, I am amazed at the love our Savior must have for us. Yes, we celebrate the birth of Jesus – but let us not forget the fact that God sent His Son to be born so that He could die on a cross for our sins. This year, let us not get frustrated when someone cuts us off and takes the parking spot we were waiting on or runs over our heels with their shopping cart as we wait in those ridiculously long checkout lines. Let us find peace in the knowledge that we are loved so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that if anyone, everyone, you, me, that guy in traffic – believed in Him, we would not perish; He would give us everlasting life.

Let us all pause to give thanks for the blessings we have and take the opportunity to share what we can.Let us all pause to give thanks for the blessings we have and take the opportunity to share what we can.Let us all pause to give thanks for the blessings we have and take every opportunity to share what we can. We're going to be sharing some photos online soon. It was a great night of worship with worship leaders Lemmie Battles, Kerri Roberts, and Jessica Aaron, David Hugo, and many more. We were able to sing the anthem to open the event, and wanted to share that here with you. We were also able to lead a few other songs in worship as well.

I believe many people were able to hear the Message of Christ through our worship and the testimonies that were shared from many, many artists. But God gave me more than that. He gave me a lesson.

My heart was broken as I passed a woman and her child standing on the side of the road with a sign, ‘Help – No Job – God Bless.’

God called me to action and I listened. But it also got me to thinking…..

- How many times has God called me to action, but I didn’t hear him?

I know that when I call my children multiple times and they don’t hear me because they are focused on TV or toys, I get frustrated. I picture God sitting up in heaven calling my name only to look down and see me steadily focused on the task that I am trying to do. How many times has God been frustrated with me?

When I left the woman and her child, I had tears in my eyes. And as much as I was crying for her and her children; I realized that I was also crying for myself.

- How many times have I taken for granted all that God has given me?

This morning I wanted to complain about my job, when instead, I should be thanking God for my job. There are times I want to complain about the busy schedule our family keeps, when instead, I should be thanking God for having things to do and family/friends to see. Each month when I pay the bills, I want to complain about the bills we pay, when instead, I should be thanking God for the provisions He provided for us to be able to pay them.

God took time today out of His busy schedule to teach me about keeping myself open to hearing His call and about thankfulness. It’s easy to hear Him when you are sitting in the quiet. But do we hear him in the hustle and bustle of our day? Do we take time to tell God that we are thankful for the problems that He has given us? WHAT!?!? Thank God for my problems?!?! God reminds us that there are others whose problems are greater.

So then, why wouldn’t we thank Him?

----April----Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/14217022013-08-16T13:39:09-04:002017-01-13T09:14:53-05:00Bye Bye SummerAnother summer has come and gone:

I continue to be amazed at how much faster life seems to move since I exited my 20’s! Or is it since I had kids? LOL

Kathleen and Allison’s daughters just recently returned to college for another exciting and challenging year in the books.

My son, Kaleb, enters the 2nd grade this year. He is already at the point of being excited to see his friends, but bummed that summer is over. I thought he would be in middle school before that happened! But he is an awesome student and an even better son. The challenges of school and LIFE get harder as you grow older so I am just continuing to pray that God will give my husband and I the wisdom and understanding that we will need as we help Kaleb grow through this next year.

My daughter Ella begins a 3 year old class this year at a Christian school (same school that Kaleb attends). I am so excited to watch her start this journey and the next phase of her life. It’s also bitter-sweet…. I get teary-eyed every time I think about waving goodbye to my little girl standing in front of the school in her school uniform. I feel like I’m going to put my baby to bed the night before but when I get her dressed in the morning she’s going to be my big girl; And then I’ll blink and she will be 20. They are both just growing too fast and oh, how I wish I could make life slow down so I can just enjoy this a little longer.

But I’m excited to see what God has in store for them in the coming year. The new things they will learn, the new friends they will meet, the new challenges they will face which will help shape and mold them into a young man and young woman for Christ!

A birthday is a special day. An anniversary is a special day.

Dictionary.com defines the word ‘special’ as “distinguished or different from what is ordinary or usual: a special occasion; to fix something special.” God defines the word ‘special’ as YOU…His beloved creation. You were hand-picked by God! And every day that we walk with Him could be considered our special day. So how do we keep our days with God “different from what is ordinary or usual”? Just like in a relationship, you have to do things to keep it fresh. So what can you do today to freshen up your relationship with God?Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/10706692013-07-04T19:05:00-04:002013-07-13T01:40:32-04:00Happy 4th of July
Really, when was the last time you read or even heard the Declaration of Independence in its entirety? Be truthful. I have to confess, I can't even remember the last time I looked at it or even read it, if I ever read it completely. Other than the first couple of lines anyway... you know, When in the course of human events, etc etc... yeah, me too. I forgot it started with that. I guess I always thought it was "We hold these truths to be self evident..."

Well, today, we were privileged to sing the National Anthem and Battle Hymn of the Republic at the City of Palm Coast's July 4th Celebration at Heroes Park, and Mayor Netts and other honorable councilmen and women read the whole Declaration from beginning to end. I have to admit, it gave me goose bumps to hear it word for word. I suggest everyone read it every year - to remember what our forefathers did. They weren't afraid to stand their ground, to stand on their beliefs, if you will. When was the last time we as average Americans took a stand? Things that make you think...

Well, enjoy this posting of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. I love the part - "His Truth is Marching On!" We started Saturday out at Upwards Basketball to watch Kaleb (my 7 year old son) play. He made a couple of baskets and an extra proud momma. Once the game was done, my parents and my sister took Kaleb and Ella (my almost 3 year old daughter) with them for the day. And, Nevaeh began making our way to Orange Park to record 6 of our songs.

What an awesome opportunity that God laid before us. We were blessed to meet the people behind JBV Ministries and the show, "Let's Talk About It". Recording songs to be aired on tv was much harder than I thought! They will be letting us know soon when it will air and have asked us back to interview US about our ministry. Awesome! God never ceases to amaze me.

Daniel (my amazing honey) and I headed to my parents to get the kids after the recording. We ended up hanging out, ordering Chinese, and getting to see my Aunt and Grandma while we were there. I am so blessed that my kids get to grow up with so much family, including their Great-Grandma.

It's easy to overlook the blessings that God gives us when we hurry through life. Take a step back today and look at the blessings God has given you. Take a moment to thank Him.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448432012-12-30T18:05:12-05:002012-12-30T18:05:12-05:00What's Your Top 10 Resolutions? As we prepare to say Good-bye to 2012 and a BIG HELLO to 2013, what are your New Year’s resolutions?

Pastor Kevin Lautar of FBC Palm Coast, made a statement that I think we all loved… Instead of spending so much time in FaceBook, spend it putting your face in the Word. Here is a list of Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions for Christians. Will any of these make it on your list this year? How many will you conquer in 2013?

1. Be consistent at going to church. If you start the New Year off by going to church and not missing (unless you absolutely have to), consistency will form habit and it will be a part of your weekly regimen.

2. Go to weekly Bible class. Going to church once a week is not enough to sustain your Spirit. Bible class will also enhance your knowledge of the Bible.

3. Go to Sunday school. Sunday school is also a great tool for learning about the Bible and getting answers to those puzzling biblical questions you may have.

4. Have devotion every morning. Devotion is like gas in your car. You can’t go anywhere without it. It’s best to have devotion as soon as you awake. This prepares you for any obstacles you may face and it also lets the enemy know that he is defeated and cancels his assignment that he has against you. Have your own praise and worship. Sing God a song!

5. Set a time for prayer. Daily prayer is a necessity, but praying at a set time everyday means the designated time belongs to God alone. Start by praying for 15 minutes, and then work your way up to an hour. There is so much to pray about and be thankful for.

6. Read the Bible daily (start by reading the one year Bible). Reading the Word is food for the Spirit. The more you read, the more you feed. Your Spirit needs the Word to help fight those fleshly desires.

7. Find 10 scriptures to confess out loud daily. Confession is good for the soul and it will also help you to speak the Word of God only. The Bible says “let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying.”

8. Memorize one scripture per week. Write down a scripture on an index card and take it with you wherever you go. Read it until you have committed it to memory.

9. Become an active member at your church by joining a ministry. Decide that you will no longer be a bench member. It’s a proven fact that when you get busy doing work for the kingdom of God, he will get busy doing work on your behalf. Get involved.

10. Get a consistent prayer partner(s). Prayer changes things so pray without ceasing!

We were able to be a part of the 1st Annual Worship Under the Stars at the Matanzas High School Football Stadium, sponsored by FBC Palm Coast. We know a lot of seeds were planted tonight. Real Hope. Finding the Real Hope only found in Jesus Christ. FPC High School Basketball coach, Coach McDaniel, shared his testimony, as well as great musical singing from the FBC Academy & FBC Children's choir.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448522012-10-12T10:21:11-04:002012-10-12T10:21:11-04:00What's coming upIt's another great time of the year - Fall. I (Kathleen) think I like this Florida weather just as much as spring. (Summer is waaaaaay too hot here). We're excited to be participating in the Multicultural Breast Cancer Awareness Ladies Tea coming up on the 20th of this month. And we're also excited about the Fall Festival that First Baptist of Palm Coast will be having on the 31st. The Birdsongs will be in concert for the Fall festival. They are one of our new fav's. If you haven't heard them, you need to check them out at http://www.myspace.com/thebirdsongfamily

Take a look at our calendar as well, and see some of the upcoming places we'll be at. Hope to see you somewhere soon.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448362012-09-23T20:20:00-04:002012-09-23T20:20:00-04:00Ocean Baptism at Malacompra BeachToday was such a great day. We met with members of First Baptist Church of Palm Coast at their Ocean Baptism and Church Picnic and watched over 20 people make a profession of faith and be baptized. It is such a blessing to see the work the Lord is doing in the lives of His people.

As a matter of fact, Mitt Romney isn't the answer either.

The answer to our nations' problems is Jesus Christ. It's time for us to stop being silent. Tell the Good News of Jesus Christ. It's only when His people pray, and turn from our wicked ways, then He will heal our land.

God's awesome presence was felt during church service tonight with a "Concert of Prayer." Our leaders led us into a spirit of repentance, submission, and renewal. Glory to God for His mercy and forgiveness when we fall short.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448472012-08-18T17:05:00-04:002020-06-29T19:44:31-04:00Fun in the Son FestivalIt's the end of a long day. But what a glorious day it was. It started out raining heavily. So heavily we were thinking "why didn't we plan a rain date?" But we packed up and loaded up the vehicles anyway to get ready for the 3rd Annual Fun in the Son Festival. It stopped raining when we got there so we could unpack. Did I mention this event was outside? Well, it stopped raining, and we had extra hands in Dan Lujan from Unchained, and Ramon Rodriguez from Passion 4 One, who came early. I realized sometime during the unloading how we were blessed. God let it rain for a while, early, to cool it off, and stopped it raining in time for setup and the start of the festival.

It was such a blessing today for us to hear new bands and musicians, like Robin Lahiri, a classical guitarist, and Matt Davis & Mark (Chrisman) Josephs, both gospel rappers. I believe that today was the biggest turnout from this event in our three years. The kids were having fun with games, crafts, and face painting. We also had great donations from our local businesses to help make this happen. Harris Grocery from Bunnell donated the all-beef hotdogs and buns for the event. What a blessing they were. All in all, the Lord's name was lifted up through musical testimony, people were kept safe, and everyone had a blessed time.

Thank you to all of our friends and church family at First Baptist Palm Coast to help make this event possible. Without the many hands to help pitch in and volunteer, we couldn't have done it.

We'll be posting pictures soon, so stay tuned. Isn't God the best Father that we could of asked for? He wants the best for us, and He loves us unconditionally. Even though we sometimes falter and stray from the path, like a good Father, He is there to direct us back. Isaiah 30:12-18

Have you noticed how we often try to fix or deal with sin on our own? We attempt to clean things up, sort them out and make them right-then bring them to God. Perhaps we fear that God will respond to our sin as people would: with anger, disgust or rejection. But that's not God. He longs to be gracious to us. He is eager to show compassion. Skip the frenzied activity; instead, come to him in repentance and rest, in quietness and trust. You will be amazed at the blessings he heaps on those who wait for him.

I went to St. Augustine, Florida on Sunday and Tuesday to sing in a revival at Moultrie Baptist Church. The revival, which has one more day, is being led by David Burton, Director of Evangelism for the Florida Baptist Convention. What a great Word he is bringing to the unsaved and to the Moultrie Church family. I know I left Sunday on fire for the Lord. It was a pleasure to sing a duet with my sister in Christ, Donna Leigh Hinkley (www.donnaleighworship.com).

I loved this statement that David shared with us tonight: "Jesus hung on a cross, for my hang-ups." I will remember that always.

Kathleen
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448422012-03-15T11:40:00-04:002012-03-15T11:40:00-04:00Another SeasonKaleb had a wonderful time playing Upwards Basketball. This was his first experience with group sports.
Some of the Memorable Moments: During the last game one of Kaleb’s shots went over the backboard, hit the pole on the back of the basketball hoop, bounced back over the backboard, hit the rim of the hoop and WENT IN! What an awesome moment ~ We were all biting nails waiting to see what that ball was going to do. Each week, I loved watching Kaleb run out onto the court as his name was announced through the speakers, he looked so proud (and handsome, if I do say so myself ;-)

Now that basketball is over ….. it’s time for Soccer to begin. Kaleb has ALWAYS loved soccer. As a toddler he loved kicking the ball around the yard. Most kids like anything: soccer ball, basketball, football, etc. but Kaleb always favored the soccer ball. The last 2 years he has asked about playing soccer. We missed the last signup and found the opportunity with basketball.

God works in amazing ways ~ It was a wonderful experience for us to get our start in sports within a Christian league. Kaleb learned about sportsmanship and friendship; he learned that prayer is not just for when you are at school, the dining table, or bedtime but it’s for anytime; and many other valuable lessons. We are looking forward to the upcoming season of Soccer and seeing how God can use us in this area to be a light for HIM.

It was such a crazy year all around. We got our second CD released, had some personnel changes, saw God work in some awesome ways in increasing our ministry, and were blessed to meet so many new people.

It was nice to sit back at Christmas and relax and reflect on the love of our families and friends. Not to mention the presents - well, I had more fun giving and watching the kids tear into everything. Allison had a chance to go to Virginia to visit family, but me (kathleen) and April stayed here in nice WARM Florida.

So on to a new year. I heard on the radio today Steve Brown's You Think About That message for today. So simple, yet so true. Here it is: "I like to keep my religion simple. Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so."

What will you do with your new year?Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448552011-12-06T18:55:00-05:002011-12-06T18:55:00-05:00It's Christmas time in the CityPalm Coast has woken up to the season. There are lots of exciting things to do in this town in December. As a matter of fact, we've been asked to sing at the Central Park Towne Center Sunday, December 11. We'll be singing some Christmas songs around 8:00 p.m. The best part is that you can walk around the park during the Festival of Lights, and you'll be able to hear the singing throughout the park. (awesome Bose system) There are lots of different specials at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. everyday in December at the park, including dancers, singers, bands, orchestras, and more.

And our church, FBC of Palm Coast, will be having their Christmas Day celebration at 10:30 a.m., and their Christmas Eve service at 6:00 p.m. Stop by for a family time of celebrating Jesus's birth.

We love this time of year. The time of year we can celebrate with our families the birth of Jesus. We hope you'll be able to celebrate with your friends and loved ones this year.

Stop by our calendar page to see where we'll be singing during the holidays. Places like Washington Oaks, and the City of Flagler Beach are a couple.

We were able to worship at "Still Standing" with Donna Leigh Hinkley, David Byrd, Buddy Hinkley, The Praise Place praise band, and more. It was a night of great worship and celebrating God's grace of 50 years to Donna Leigh.

Last weekend at Creekside Christian Church was a day of fun with the ladies and their daughters as we celebrated being "Daughters of the King." It was a fun tea party, hat crafts, and music.

We're heading to intense practice in November to get ready for our Christmas concerts, and tv performance on ABC. Keep us in your prayers please. We're so thankful His grace is abundant.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448542011-10-16T11:58:36-04:002011-10-16T11:58:36-04:00October NewsI can't believe almost a month has gone by, and no blogging. We've been busy getting ready for two concerts coming up this week and next, and family stuff, and work stuff. You know how all that is.

We got our shirts and tote bags in. They are the best. We love Country Wide Promotions in GA for doing them. I'll get those posted on the web very soon. Promise.

We hope you have a chance to come to the Ladies Tea this weekend at Creekside Christian Church in Jacksonville, and next week, stop by "Still Standing" a worship event at the Praise Place in Orlando. It'll be a great night of worship with Donna Leigh Hinkley, David Byrd, Nevaeh, and more. We hope to be able to meet some of you there.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448342011-09-24T09:10:00-04:002017-01-13T09:14:52-05:00News & New T-ShirtsHey everyone. How's the weather treatin' ya? Florida has some crazy weather this time of year. It's hot, it's cold, it's sunny, it's rainy. I always say if you don't like the weather, stay 5 minutes, it'll change. LOL.

Everything on the home front is going well. We had some great concerts the last few weeks, and met a lot of new friends. And we've already posted some other events as well. Events like Daughters of the King, Still Standing, and Raceway Ministries at Daytona 500.

We ordered new t-shirts and tote bags as well. We listened to all the ladies out there, and ordered v-necks as well as crew neck. CountryWide Promotions did a great new design for us. We're so pleased with them, and they have great customer service. Make sure you get a new shirt or tote bag - they make great gifts.

Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448512011-08-27T17:19:45-04:002020-03-28T19:49:47-04:00Fun in the Son Festival RecapHey, we hope you had a chance to stop by the Festival at James Holland Park today. We had a great time. We had some great music from Palm Coast United Methodist Church, First Baptist Hammock Beach, dance from Haitian Church of God, Noah Purvis on Sax, and of course, us.

The guys were on the grill cooking up some great hot dogs from Walmart, and served on some great buns from Publix. (yeah, that advertising was shameless.) But we were so happy with the way the community businesses chipped in. We got things from Harris Grocery in Bunnell, Home Depot, Winn Dixie, and Kehe.

We had some great volunteers on face painting, crafts, and balloon making. So, thanks to all of you.

We are already getting some new ideas for next year as well. We'll probably leave the time of year around the same. It was HOT, but there was a great breeze, so it was great. Even at 110 degrees.

Don't forget to click on our photos page, Photos 2011, and take a look at the photos. I'll be posting those in just a little bit.

This is Kathleen, and I'm sitting here listening to some Building 429 "Right Beside You" on Jango. We have a station, too, it's http://www.jango.com/music/Nevaeh.

I love how you can create a station. You start by playing a song you like, and Jango will play similar song styles. And best of all, it's free. And I love me some Newsboy and Casting Crowns.

If you're in town next week, be sure to stop by the Fun in the Son Park Festival at the James Holland Park, from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m.

April has brought a great soprano sound, and we love having her aboard. We're sad to let you fans know that Linda and Christina have retired from the group, but we know the Lord still has great plans for Nevaeh, as He has shown us over the last couple of months.

We hope you had a chance to hear us live on the radio, on Jacksonville station WCGL. Frank stopped by the Blessed Fest on July 2, and asked us to stop by that afternoon and do a live interview, and sing a few songs. It was great. The Lord just opened up that window on April's first concert outing. He has been truly blessing ever since.

After a busy beginning of the year getting the cd done, we were able to take a nice breather for a few months. We have some changes to announce soon, and some great opportunities to sing. We've been in the midst of learning new songs, and refreshing some old ones.

Flagler County, where we live, is facing some challenges this season with fires breaking out. We have some dear friends that are facing those challenges head on, and we pray for their safety, and for the firemen and women out their in the trenches.

The air is filled with smoke making it very hard for people to breathe around here, but the Lord has blessed us these last couple of days with some much-needed rain. That has helped tremendously in bringing in some fresh air here and there.

Please continue to pray for everyone's safety, and for the fires to be contained. We wanted to give you an end of the month update and tell you some exciting news. The CD is finished, and it'll be mastered in the studio this week.

Yesterday, we had our CD photo shoot. Belk's of Palm Coast did our make-overs, and then we walked all around the Fort Castillo in St. Augustine and Washington Oaks in Flagler Beach with the photographer for the shoot. Our feet are TIRED.

But it's been a great weekend, and we look forward to getting the music and CD in the hands of the designer and replicator this week. The title of the CD is "Shout It Out" so we're excited to see what the designer will do with the shots from the fort.

Stay tuned as we'll be updating you again very soon and letting you know when we'll start mailing out CD's.

Be blessed.

This has been an exciting week for us, as we had the opportunity to sing live on Channel 12 News (NBC) Jacksonville on Wednesday for Songs of the Season. If you didn't get a chance to see it, the video should be posted soon on www.firstcoastnews.com under the Holiday Section (in the middle).

Everyone at the station was wonderful, and we had such a great time. We even got to read the weather with Mike Prangley, and sung We Wish You A Merry Christmas with him to end the national news segment. National news? Yes! They asked us to stay and sing for the national news, Channel 25 (ABC). That was super awesome.

We're all set to go to get this CD finished. We had a tough time in December with most of us sick at one point, and having to perform for concerts not feeling well. But you know what? As you know, God provided. His Word was sung, and people heard the message.

We hope you all have a wonderful New Year. Stay safe if you're traveling, remember to love your families while you can, and remember to keep Christ first in everything you do.

Blessings,
We're getting are voices warmed up to spread the Good News and we hope you are too. We're excited about spending lots of time with our family and friends during this busy holiday season, but let us all not forget the reason for the season. And that is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tonight, we're heading over to the City of Flagler Beach to sing for their Veteran's Park Christmas Lighting, and we'll be singing around 6:15 p.m. Following that at 8:00 p.m., we'll be heading over to close the Samaritan Ministries Concert fundraiser being held at First Baptist Church of Bunnell. It starts at 7:00 p.m., and if you want to hear great music and help support a worthy cause, stop on by. We're excited to hear the Russian Choir again, as they were great during rehearsal. Lots of wonderful soloists as well. What a great time to spend with your family.

On Sunday, come worship with us at First Baptist Church of Palm Coast. It's the second week of Advent, and Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., FBC will be having their Hanging of the Green Ceremony. It's very touching and very worshipful. Special music by different groups of the Worship Ministry, including the Student Choir, and the Senior Adult Voices of Victory of Choir. Nevaeh will be singing special music during both morning Worship Services (9:00 and 10:30 a.m.)

We hope to see you sometime this weekend. Be blessed.

Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448332010-10-25T13:38:29-04:002010-10-25T13:38:29-04:00Wonderful time in ConcertWe had a wonderful time at Rima Ridge Church yesterday. We came to GIVE a blessing and worship in the Lord, but RECEIVED a bigger blessing.

The people are Christ-honoring, spirit-filled, and a wonderful loving congregation. We were received as family. We were so blessed by them.
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448302010-10-03T12:41:31-04:002010-10-03T12:41:31-04:00Project SuccessfulWe would like to take the time to thank all of you who made our first Kickstarter.com project successful. We had a goal of $1200 and because of God's people ~ WE MADE IT!!

We will be heading to the studio in a couple of weeks, and we're very excited about that. Well, really more than excited. It's like a nervous excitement. We've down this before, but it's still a new venture. We want to honor God in all that we do, and pray that our offerings is a sweet smelling fragance to our Lord and Savior.

If you missed the opportunity to pledge, you can still use the link over on the side of our homepage and pre-order your CD with great rewards.

We're getting our songs ready for the CD, but we still need partners to complete our project. Check out our project page and see how you can be involved. http://kck.st/9GFyZ6Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448282010-08-10T19:27:29-04:002010-08-10T19:27:29-04:00Summer UpdateWow, summer is almost over, kids are going back to school, and Nevaeh is heading back into the studio soon.

We'll be doing a couple of upcoming concerts, and then prayerfully going to the studio in Sept. We decided not to audition for the 2010 Disney's Night of Joy this year because of our schedule. It was great to sing there last year, and we'll miss it, but God's up to something here in Palm Coast.

We also uploaded a sample song from our new CD on the downloads page. Take a listen, and let me know what you think.

Anyway, stay tuned...Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448272010-07-17T18:57:48-04:002010-07-17T18:57:48-04:00Busy WeekJust came back from singing at the homeschool convention today. We also met up with a few friends and chatted.

This week will be a very busy week, too. Allison, Linda and Kathleen will be helping in VBS at our church, and Christina and 14 others will be heading to Tennessee for a mission trip.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448262010-06-17T16:17:08-04:002017-01-13T09:14:51-05:00New T-shirts just came inIt's so exciting. Our new t-shirts came in this afternoon from Jordan Valley Graphics in Daytona. I couldn't wait to buy one and put one on. I'm wearing the tangerine color right now ~ have to show my love for those Florida gators.

5 different colors to choose from, and it was hard to choose, but.... orange won.

Sunday is Father's Day, and we're excited to host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at church. If you're in the area, stop by. We'll be providing special music during the morning worship services, too. You can visit our home church's website at www.fbcpc.org

See you soon.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448252010-06-14T15:28:19-04:002010-06-14T15:28:19-04:00Annual Park Fest was a Success
Our first annual Fun in the Son Park Fest is done.

Thank you to all who participated and performed and helped to make this a wonderful event. There was great music and the kids had a blast with games and crafts.

To our husbands on the grills and gave out free hot dogs, chips, and drinks - we love you. You rock.

And finally (but first) we thank the Lord for making this a great event, for being there before us to make this run smooth, and for allowing us to be a part of His Kingdom work.
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448222010-05-24T14:34:04-04:002010-05-24T14:34:04-04:00Just thinking...
It's almost the end of the month, hard to believe that time goes by so quickly.

We had a blast at Waves of Glory. Wet n Wild has some crazy rides - and some great food. We had a chance to meet some other bands, talk about ministry, and watch them perform as well.

We had a great time performing, probably equal to or more than our time singing at Disney last Night of Joy. It was great for us, to show Christians can have fun.

We're gearing up for our next big event, and that's the Fun in Son Park Fest on June 12. If you're town for that, stop by the James Holland Park from 11 til 2. Great music, and activities, and free food.

Carol Kent was in the House!!!

If you haven't had a chance to hear Carol Kent, you need to find an upcoming Women of Joy Conference, and listen to her story. I also picked up one of her books, "Becoming a Woman of Influence" and I look forward to reading that very soon.

We had a blessed time with the Praise Band and Ensemble from Cedar Hills Baptist Church from Jacksonville, the Interpretive Movement group from First Baptist Palm Coast, and of course, yours truly performing three songs. We felt God's annointing the whole afternoon.

We uploaded three of our videos to You Tube, and above this blog to the right, you should be able to click on the videos and take a listen.

Well, be blessed. And we'll chat again soon.

Guest speaker will be Carol Kent, a great speaker for Women of Faith, and other women's events. We're so excited to be singing a few songs, and hearing her speak. Topics will include "When God Writes Your Story" and "Hope for the Hopeless." Nevaeh will be helping at the registration table, and what a great way to be out meeting ladies, and then to be fellowshipping at lunch together - courtesy of Chik'fil-A, can't go wrong there.

If you're in town, we hope to see you there. Tickets are still available at the door for $35, but you'll have to bring your own lunch.Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448192010-04-14T19:26:58-04:002010-04-14T19:26:58-04:00"Fun in the Son" Park FestHere is some information on the upcoming Christian Music Festival. We're going to be hosting a spaghetti dinner / variety show on Father's Day at First Baptist Church, and planning on a Christian Day at the park at James Holland Park.

1st - the spaghetti dinner will be a fundraiser to complete our next CD project. We love our church for doing this, and we feel very honored that they stand by us in our ministry.

2nd - The day at the park is still in the works, but we're getting together to choose a date, and some fun activities, like face painting, a bounce house, music, and firing up the grill.

So stay tuned, and keep an eye on our calendar - we'll keep you posted.
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448162010-02-23T19:27:58-05:002010-02-23T19:27:58-05:00What's New with Nevaeh
2010 is starting off to be a great year. We had a great worship time with some race fans in Feb., and we are now enjoying Revival at First Baptist Church with guest speaker Dr. John Sullivan.

Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448152009-09-28T18:30:37-04:002020-02-07T13:08:51-05:00Oct. NewsIt's hard to believe that summer is almost over. It seems like it just started. In September, we had the most wonderful opportunity to sing at Disneys Night of Joy. We were one of the bands selected out of over 100 bands that auditioned, and we felt very blessed to have been chosen.

We met wonderful people at Disney, heard some great bands, and just had a great time relaxing and having fun with our daughters.

Our new song of the month is up on the website also. The monthly special is 25 cents for the download.

We've just rehearsed and have completed two new songs - and hopefully soon we'll get those recorded and available for downloads as single releases for radio soon.

Revival came to our church in September. We had the Strength Team here (www.strengthteam.com), and over 80 people accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and over 130 rededicated their lives. Also, evangelist Keith Fordham (www.keithfordham.com) came for 4 days after that, and brought a fresh new word from the Lord. I know I needed revival. We're reflecting on what the Lord has done in our ministry, and looking forward to the challenges and opportunities He will bring forth for us to spread His word to the lost.

Please keep us in your prayers - us, our families, our health, and our families health, and other concerns we may have or may arise. Allison has a daughter who's off to college now, and Christina's husband has been diagnosed with T-cell lyphoma cancer.

May God bless you and yours. May His Holy Spirit reign down upon you.

NEVAEH - Kathleen, Allison, Christina and Linda
Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448142009-09-15T17:41:27-04:002009-09-15T17:41:27-04:00Talent Spotlight at Night of JoyWell, we had a great time at NOJ. We were selected to sing at Disney's Night of Joy after an audition.

It was a great night. We're going to be posting pics and video soon. It was an awesome experience, and lots of great artists were there.
It started raining, so everyone got worried, but Disney was quick to get the tents up, and 1/2 hour later it stopped.

Being on stage at Disney is an experience itself. There is nothing like having Disney running your sound. Those guys rock, and they know their equipment. I even asked to take one of the guys back home to run our sound forever, but even though he said sure, he never got in the car. oh, well...

We're still living in the moment.

Celebration Ministries run a great show. They get together with you before they take you on stage, talk with you for a bit, then they pray with you and over you, and walk you to the stage (about a two minute walk across the walkway), and introduce you to the emcee (and guys it was the runner up for Miss Florida or Miss something - all of the guys liked that), and overall made it a great worshipful experience. People were praising, and I know, believe it or nor, this was one of the few times I wasn't nervous as the Lord was there; and if any other band was, you sure couldn't tell. The Lord showed up and anointed the place.

Great times.

KathleenNevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448122009-07-18T15:49:31-04:002009-07-18T15:49:31-04:00VBS at FBCWow, what a great week at VBS. Hard to believe it's over. 39 Children made a decision for Christ this past week. Awesome. All four of us helped in VBS somewhere. It's so great to be part of the learning process of a child's life.

Well, we'll be revving up for the fall season. And we've already scheduled a performance for July 2010. Practice, practice, practice. But it's a great joy to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. It's all worth it. See you all soon. (we hope.)Nevaehtag:www.nevaehonline.com,2005:Post/448112009-07-10T20:16:28-04:002009-07-10T20:16:28-04:00VBS at FBCThis is going to be a busy weekend as we get ready for Vacation Bible School. Lots of planning this weekend, and then next week - kids, kids, kids. You know, statistics say that at a young age is a great time to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. A child's heart is still tender, and will hear the gospel. Of course, any age is a perfect age for you to accept Jesus Christ - as long as you DO IT!Nevaeh
